Mari Norddahl (1990) arbeider med mjuke, taktile objekt gjennom skulptur, installasjon og performance. Tekstil er hennar hovudmateriale, og objektet som fenomen står sentralt i hennar prosjekt. Ho er oppteken av korleis vi tolkar og ilegg verdi til tinga rundt oss, samtidig stiller ho spørsmål om objektet kan vere ei autonom eining, med eit eige medvit over eigen eksistens. Norddahl bur og arbeider i Bergen, og har si utdanning frå Kunsthøgskulen i Bergen og Glasgow School of Art.

Mari Norddahl (b. 1990) works with soft objects through performance, sculpture and installation. Working with textile as her main material, the object as phenomenon is central in her projects. Through her work she investigates how we perceive the things around us, with an emphasis on the object’s existence as an autonomous entity. She seeks to understand the thing’s perception of the world, if it has its own awareness, or if such a concept merely a projection. Norddahl lives and works in Bergen, Norway and has her education from Bergen Academy of Art and Design and Glasgow School of Art.
